The Cheeseburger Salad

Cheeseburgers are one of my favorite meals, but I literally need to eat more salads, hence The Cheeseburger Salad


12 Ounces 90% Lean Ground Sirloin

½ tsp World Market Freshly Ground Pepper

¼ tsp Morton Salt

Pam Cooking Spray

1 Large Red Onion, peeled and cut horizontally into ¼” thick slices

1 (10 Ounce) Package Romaine Hearts, chopped

1 ½ Cups Tomato, chopped

3 Ounces 2% Cracker Barrel Cheddar Cheese (about ¾ cup)

1/3 Cup Canola Mayonnaise

¼ Cup Heinz Ketchup, unsalted

2 Tbsp Water

1 ½ Ounces Cape Cod Reduced-Fat Kettle-Cooked Potato Chips

FIRST Shape Beef into 2 – 1-inch thick patties

SECOND Heat a skillet over medium-high heat

THIRD Coat pan with Cooking Spray

FOURTH Add patties, cook 3 – 4 minutes on each side

FIFTH Add Onion to pan, cook 5 – 6 minutes on each side and separate into rings

SIXTH Cut Burgers into bite-sized pieces

SEVENTH Divide Romaine, Burgers, Onions, Tomato, and Cheese among 4 bowls

EIGHTH Combine Mayonnaise, Ketchup, and 2 Tbsp Water in a small bowl, stirring with a whisk

NINTH Drizzle evenly over salads

TENTH Lightly crush potato chips and sprinkle evenly over salad

Makes 4 salads
