Chai-Spiced Smoothie

I must be having a bit of a sweet tooth this week.  Yesterday I posted A Cup of Cake…then I ran across this Chai-Spiced Smoothie that I must share.  I dare you to try it!  #TryNewThings

Ingredients

1 Cup Lipton Brewed Black Tea, strongly brewed

1 Cup Ice Cubes

1 (12 Ounce) Package Nasoya Firm Light Silken Tofu, cut into chunks

2 (5.3 Ounce) Packages Wallaby Honey-Flavored Low-Fat Greek Yogurt

2 Tbsp Honey

2 tsp Lemon Zest

1 tsp Savory Spice Shop Pumpkin Pie Spice

½ tsp Nielsen-Massey Vanilla Extract

1/8 tsp McCormick Ground Black Pepper

World Market Ground Cinnamon (optional)

FIRST Fill an ice cube tray with brewed tea

SECOND Freeze 4 hours or until firm

THIRD In a blender, combine the frozen Tea cubes and the next seven ingredients (through pepper): Tofu, Yogurt, Honey, Lemon Zest, Spice, Vanilla, Pepper

FOURTH Cover and blend until smooth, stopping to scrape down the sides as needed

FIFTH Add more (regular) ice cubes if needed, up to 1 cup

Pour into glasses and sprinkle with cinnamon

Makes 4 servings
