Smoothies Some-more

TGIF ~ I hope wherever you are it’s warm and sunny, because here in Missouri it’s cold cold cold, and man oh man am I over winter. I hope that little groundhog was right and we are looking toward an early spring.

Today is Day 5 of a 7-day detox challenge. Today’s water option is called Skinny Detox Water.

Today is another three smoothie day ~ Breakfast: Purple Passion Smoothie, Lunch: Crisp Mango Cucumber Smoothie, Dinner: Apple Pie Smoothie which is going to be like having dessert for dinner, Snack: you can have two (2) throughout the day; I will continue to have an Apple and an Emerald 100 calories packet of Raw Almonds (snacks are optional, but choose wisely). Today we again have three smoothies (like yesterday, hence the title Smoothies Some-more) ~ you can pick and choose/mix an match any smoothie for any meal; tomorrow we look forward to one smoothie and two salads, but don’t forget you get two snacks and drink lots and lots of water, which will continue to sustain you.

The smoothies are easy to make, simply add all the ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth, enjoy.

SMOOTHIE #1

Purple Passion Smoothie

Ingredients

1/2 Cup Cherries

1/4 Cup Blueberries

1 Cup Raw Spinach

1/4 Cup Greek Yogurt

1 Cup Water

You can use either frozen or fresh cherries and blueberries, and depending on the smoothie consistency you prefer, you can add a little water and/or ice to your blender as you blend.

I’ve been using a combination of both frozen and fresh fruit, but of course your fresh vegetables won’t be frozen.

SMOOTHIE #2

Crisp Mango Cucumber Smoothie

Ingredients

1/4 Cup Mango

1 Orange, peeled

1 Cup Cucumber, chopped

1 Tbsp Flax Seed

Again, simply add all the ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth, adding water and/or ice as needed.

SMOOTHIE #3

Apple Pie Smoothie

Ingredients

1 Apple, peeled and cored

1/4 Cup Blueberries

1/4 tsp Cinnamon

1/8 tsp Nutmeg

1 Cup Spinach

1 Tbsp Chia Seeds

1 tsp Vanilla Extract

1 Cup Water

WATER

Skinny Detox Water

Ingredients

1/2 to 1 Gallon Purified Water

1 Lemon, thinly sliced

1 Lime, thinly sliced

1 Grapefruit, sliced

1 Medium Cucumber, sliced into rings

1 Sprig Fresh Mint Leaf
