Spanish Rice

Is Taco Tuesday becoming a tradition in your household?  Try this Spanish Rice with your meal OR a Beef Spanish Rice rendition of this recipe…so many options.  Enjoy!


¼ Cup Onion, thinly slices

1/3 Cup Green Pepper, diced

2 Cups Minute Rice

¼ Cup Vegetable Oil

2 Cups Hot Water

2 8-Ounce Cans Unsalted Tomato Sauce

Dash of Pepper

FIRST Sauté the onion, green pepper and Minute Rice in vegetable oil

SECOND Add the remaining ingredients and mix well

THIRD Bring to a boil

FOURTH Reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, for 5 minutes

Enjoy with your tacos…or, if you’d like to try the Beef Spanish Rice

Sauté ½ to 1-pound ground beef with the onion, green pepper and rice, then follow the above directions accordingly
